Storm Before the Calm

Storm Before the Calm

There are 2 ways to look at the world right now. It’s a choice. You can fight, judge, predict, complain, panic or you can do a dance, clap your hands and say wow change is about!  In order to bring change to anything especially big change you will see chaos almost always first. That’s why this article is titled the way it is.

Myself, I think there is BIGGER change taking place on this planet.

Change is constant in life, there is no escaping it and avoiding it brings suffering.  Let’s look at the positive things that are happening with Covid-19. First off I guess everyone is going to have a clean behind no matter what (did you smile with that one?) But seriously, some of the things I am seeing are really nice. You might need to look for them but I will say it warms my heart with the ideas people are coming up with.

Slowing down, don’t we all need to do this? Time at home with family, cooking meals and not going out as often.  One of my friends on facebook who has small children around set a schedule, for exercise time, reading time, play time and cooking time.  This is getting back to basics. I have felt we need that for some time, I even try to do it myself and perhaps you have too, but to no avail we get distracted. So, maybe COVID-19 is going to help us get back to basics and focus more on what is important. Think of it as humanity going into hibernation. A reset, a slowing down.

As a nation we need to work together.

Support each other,  I waited in line for some time at Trader Joes this morning to buy groceries. Was it a little shocking to see my beloved and trust worthy Trader Joes filing people in only a few at a time? Yes! Wow, I thought to myself this is very real. Most of the time I try to stay very positive, my heartbreaks for the elderly and infirm that have no one, and have to navigate through this crisis alone. Here’s the thing on social media people are coming up with ways to help the elderly. These types of things would not be happening without the virus! Hey! What about the people singing in Italy to help those that are isolated and a lone?  It was all over Facebook and on National news; I am quite sure it warmed the hearts of millions of people just to witness it!  That is progress in my book about coming together as a WORLD. The virus also inadvertently calmed down the back biting in the election which I am happy about.

Wishing you peace on your journey.  If you need someone to talk too and help you through any of this, you know where to find me.
