When our loved ones leave us sometimes we will have profound dreams of them. Those dreams can be alarming or bring peace. In the early stages of grief, we want to know did they make it safely to heaven? After all it is a journey.

Are you looking for signs from your loved ones? I know I did. I had so many dreams about my mom in the beginning. It will be 9 years and I so WISH to dream of her all the time because I want to SEE her. At this stage though 9 years later, I feel her all the time.  Let me tell you a story or two about signs I have experienced.  I remember when my uncle passed away I was truly worried about my auntie and visited her often. As soon as I entered that house the lights would blink on and off and not just one, it was ALL of the lights. My auntie would say I just don’t know what is going on with these lights! I didn’t want to scare her but I knew it was my dear uncle. Recently, while taking a walk when I was going through a hard period in my life, mourning doves were everywhere. It was like they were following me. I could hear this one particular dove making that beautiful haunting yet soothing cooing sound that I love hearing. I never knew that is where the mourning dove got its name. I said out loud, “Mom, I know that’s you please come out where I can see you” and it did and looked straight at me!

Signs are a part of our faith, a knowing heaven exists and they are just in the next dimension. Communication through electrical devices is common too. Phones ringing and no one is there, a text alert and yet there is no text, (I get that one a lot). Then there is the touch of an angel, when we can feel a presence that brings peace. One might get a warm feeling or the hairs on your arms stand up. Butterflies & Hummingbirds can be another constant. Some people have shared with me they can smell a loved one’s scent, or food cooking when no one is there.  If we open ourselves up to the possibility of signs, meaning be open hearted even when your sad you will start to see and feel signs all the time. I know it was difficult for me, I was really sad for a long time when my mom died. I do understand it is hard to find that ray of sunshine.

Here is a little nudge from me, nature is the greatest healer try to get outside and those birdies and butterflies will come and find you because they want you to know without a doubt that our loved ones are here with us we just can’t see them.

I wish you peace on your journey.
